Dear Fruit fly workers, The venue of the 8th ISFFEI is very close, next month on 26th we will meet in Valencia city. We hope to have all you here attending it and meeting with your fruit-fly friends of all around the globe. We have planned a condensed meeting for four days, for ending with a technical trip to the Mass-rearing and Release facilities at Caudete de las Fuentes and Moncada respectively. Our first thought of developing parallel sessions has been changed by a single auditorium on which all the conferences will take place without the need of choosing which to attend. IMPORTANT NEWS
Wednesday 29th September: General Strike. It has been planed a General strike through all EU countries. It’s advisable to avoid travelling this day or early on 30th September due to probable delays in the flights of main airports. We guarantee the normal development of activities at the Symposium venue. The technical secretariat at Grupo Pacifico guarantee a normal service at the selected NH Hotels.
Scientific Program Plenary talks & oral presentations have been selected. The provisional program is ready, please check it at ‘Program’. One important change involves the Technical visits.
Venue change Due to an unpredictable Official ceremony for Honor PhD naming in the Polytechnic University we have been argued to move to another location. The venue of the 8th ISFFEI will be located in the NEXUS building of the same university, just at 2 minutes from the Galileo Galilei Hall. Please check the information in our page.
Closing Dinner and Technical Visits Please consider to book the Closing dinner and Technical visit if you want to attend both events prior your arrival. For booking go to the page of Technical Secretariat at Grupo Pacifico (link at the Registration page). The dead-line for this booking will be on 15th September due to formalities with catering.
